Role of the CEO

 
The business of the Electricity Pool is administered by the Chief Executive's Office which was established in 1991 to provide a cost effective service to Pool Members in support of the operation and development of the Pooling and Settlement Agreement.

The Chief Executive's Office assists the Executive Committee in the overall management of the Pool through routine monitoring of key functions and overall administration of the Pool activities. This includes dealing with the queries and problems of Pool Members and interested parties. The office also assists with taking work forward on the development of future trading arrangements as well as providing secretarial and administrative support, dealing with external relations and promoting the efficient operation and development of the Electricity Pool.

The Office is funded by all companies trading in the Electricity Pool and the Chief Executive is accountable to the Pool Members and the Pool Executive Committee.
