Becoming a Pool Member

 
Pool Membership is divided into two categories: compulsory membership through the Licence or Connection Agreements or voluntary membership.

Below is a summary of the admission conditions that must be met to become a Pool Member:

  • Be a Party;
  • Completed and submitted a Pool Membership Application form;
  • Fulfilled one of the following:

have been granted a licence from OFFER;
have an application pending;
be exempt;
be an External Pool Member;
be an Externally Interconnected Party.

  • Acceded to the Pool Funds Transfer Agreement;
  • Have appropriate VAT arrangements in place;
  • Registered the relevant Metering Systems;
  • Have in place the appropriate Connection Agreements;
  • Suppliers to have appropriate Security Cover arrangements;
  • Generators to be able to operate or control one or more Generating Units which can or has provided electricity to the Total System;
  • External Pool Members have the right to use Generation Trading Blocks and a share of the Interconnector;
  • Provide information to enable the Executive Committee to determine the classification of the Applicant and to calculate Votes and Shares.
